Joubert Tradauw Cabernet Franc Reserve

Joubert Tradauw is a small producer in the Robertson area of South Africa. This premium wine is produced using grapes that have a great deal of elegance and fully developed tannins due to the late harvest. Spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, followed by ageing for 20 months in 500 litre barrels, 50% of which are first fill and 50% second fill. Only 600 bottles of the Cabernet Franc Reserve were produced.

The wine has aromas of sweet red fruits, baked apple and cranberries. The flavour is spicy with aromas of prunes and tobacco leaves, ripe tannins and acidity provide structure. This wine goes well with meat dishes such as roast beef, oxtail, coq au vin, red curry beef wok.
