Domaine Boissan Gigondas Vieilles Vignes

Die Gigondas-Weinberge der Domaine de Boissan für diese Cuvée befinden sich nicht weit vom Ortseingang entfernt und sind alle über 40 Jahre alt. Die 80% Grenache- und 20% Syrah-Trauben werden von einem erfahrenen Team von Hand geerntet. Sie werden dann sanft im Ganzen vergoren, d.h. ohne Abbeeren oder Pressen. Der junge Wein wird dann 12 Monate lang in Eichenfässern im Keller gereift.
In der Nase finden Sie kräftige Aromen von Pflaumen und Blaubeeren sowie die typischen würzigen Noten von Gewürznelken, Muskatnuss und ein wenig Pfeffer. Am Gaumen ist er vollmundig, würzig und kräftig mit guter Fruchtsäure und klaren Tanninen. Er wird 10 bis 15 Jahre lang gut gelagert werden können. Ausgezeichnet zu gratiniertem Ziegenkäse oder Entenbrust

The Gigondas vineyards of the Domaine de Boissan for this cuvée are located not far from the entrance to the village and are all over 40 years old. The 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah grapes are harvested by hand by an experienced team. They are then gently fermented whole, i.e. without destemming or pressed. The young wine is then matured in oak barrels in the cellar for 12 months.
On the nose you'll find strong flavours of plums and blueberries as well as the typical spicy notes of clove, nutmeg and a little pepper. On the palate it is full-bodied, spicy and powerful with good fruit acidity and clear tannins. It will store well for 10 to 15 years. Excellent with gratinated goat's cheese or duck breast
